Distractions are all around you, but so am I. Focus on Me rather than the distractions. To do this, I must be most important to you and you must be engulfed in being in My presence. When you are reading your favorite book or section of the newspaper, you drown out everything else around you—including people who are special to you. You hardly notice the other activities going on because you are doing something you enjoy. I want you to so enjoy being with Me that everything else fades away and it is just you and Me. Sometimes you may need to go to a quiet place to help remove distractions; however, My desire is that you become so in love with Me and so focused on Me that even in the midst of distractions, your attention is on Me.
Psalm 61:4
I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
Philippians 3:12-14
Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
I come before You today with a desire to focus on You. I realize there will be many things that attempt to take my attention off of You. I want to be passionate for You. Forgive me when I am more passionate for other things than I am for You.
In Jesus’ name,
