We all know what a harvest is. It is a time of gathering the crops that have matured enough to be ready to eat or sell. Spiritually, a harvest is a time of gathering the souls that God has brought to Himself. It is a time of joining God in making disciples. As God brings revival to the hearts of His children, we will be in the correct mindset to join Him in the harvest. Our nation, our state, our church, you, and I are in need of a Holy Spirit revival. God has led me to lead our church into 30 Days of Prayer for Harvest leading up to our weekend Harvest Crusade August 3-5, 2012. Our primary focus needs to be on experiencing true revival personally and joining God in making disciples of those around us. This prayer guide is provided to help you prepare for both. Our first day of this prayer guide begins July 8 and continues through the day after our weekend Harvest Crusade ends August 6.

Day 11: July 18, 2012

GPS and mapWhen people go on a trip to a location they have never been, it is important to have good directions. With a dependable map or GPS it is usually easy to find out exactly how to get to your final destination. It is silly for someone to have access to a directional source and not take advantage of it. Only stubborn people wander around in confusion when a tool is readily available to assist them. It breaks My heart that so many of My children spend years wandering around when they have My Word, the Bible, and My Holy Spirit available to guide them. Learn to listen to Me. Learn to humbly follow My directions. My Word is a lamp for you and a light to show you where to step. My Spirit is within you to speak to you and guide you; let Me fill you each moment. I love you and want you to know where to go and how to get there. Faithfully follow Me.

Dear God,

Please forgive me when I try to direct my own life instead of willingly Matthewfollowing You. To truly experience the life You desire for me, I know I must remain in Your Word and allow Your Holy Spirit to lead me. I come before You today humbling myself and choosing to faithfully follow You.
